Larse – So Long (Noir Remix)

Here’s something that’s been kicking up a bit of a storm lately in the clubs. A remix by Noir of the old track ‘So Long’ by Larse, and it’s bumpy bassline stormer! If you were fan of the original mix, or even the Nice7 remix then you’ll love this.

Great use of the repetitive top line vocal, laid over a punchy bass pattern and some nice deep hats. I love the breakdown on this one, everything drops out but the bass and vocal and builds up nicely before all kicking in again. If you hear this in a club and it doesn’t get you jumping around then you must be mad!

Another amazing track from Noir, available now…

Aitor Ronda & George Privatti – Deep Inside EP

Fresh new two-track EP from Aitor Ronda & George Privatti out on Monique Musique. Now, I’ve been a follower of George for quite a while and have supported many of his releases in my sets and on my radio show, and these two are gonna get some airplay from me too.

First up is the title track ‘Deep Inside’, now before clicking play and seeing the name I expect maybe the famous Hardrive vocal to be cut up over the top of this, I couldn’t have been more wrong! This one fuses a deep subby bass groove with some sketchy techy drums and warpy chord stabs. During the breakdown there are naughty female ‘moans’ before a nice drop. Love it! The second track on the EP is called ‘Next Door’. Yet another techy banger, great eerie breakdown! I particularly like the drums in this one. I can’t wait to play this out!

Sweet Female Attitude – Flowers (Sam Divine & Curtis Gabriel Remix)

This is something that has been out a couple of weeks but is taking the industry by storm, it’s been sitting at number one on Traxsource pretty much since it’s release, and is still there now (15th Aug 2015). Well worth a mention!

So, remixing an old classic can be a risky job with the amount of material that gets slated online these days, but this one defies all the negativity and is actually pretty amazing! We all know the original UK Garage classic ‘Flowers’ which hit the charts in a big way back in the day, but listening to the original now just sounds dated. Defected’s ‘Sam Divine’ has joined forces with Curtis Gabriel to bring this classic back up to date, and wow, what a job they have done!

It’s a full vocal remix so you can still sing along with it like the old days, but this time it drops into a deep, bouncy house banger! Bumpy bass, choppy vocals and sketchy drums combine to create something special here.

Out now….. Get. It.

Ucha & The Sloppy 5th’s – Technoroller

Here we go with another massive techno/tech house track. Something fresh out on Hatrax Records by Ucha & The Sloppy 5th’s. I’ve reviewed a couple of bits from the Sloppy 5th’s before and the production level is always high class, this one however, has to be one of my favourites!

I’m not going to go on about this one as you just need to hear it, but from the off it’s a percussive monster with a deep rolling bassline, some nice filtering and choppy vocals. Outstanding!

This is available now on Beatport, it’s one for the main rooms, so grab your copy now…

KORT & Elementary ft Jessie Matthews – Warning

Here’s something fresh from KORT & Elementary, and featuring the amazing vocals from Jessie Matthews, out now exclusively on Traxsource.

For anyone who knows a thing or two about ‘proper’ house music, you will have heard of KORT at some point. KORT had huge releases on massive labels such as Defected and Copyright which cemented his footing within the industry. For this release he teams up with ‘Elementary’ who although seems fairly unheard of, is an absolute master in the studio (trust me on this!), so expect some amazing future productions under this name.

So, let talk about the track! Well…. it’s a genius fusion of piano chords, organs, bumpy bass patterns and an absolutely outstanding vocal. The full verses come on the breakdowns, and over the drums are some great ad-libs and choppy vocal stabs.

This one gets a double thumbs up from me, and definitely one I’ll be hammering out in the clubs. Grab your copy now..

FREE DOWNLOAD: Hans Zimmer – Interstellar (D33P Remix)

It doesn’t happen too often, but occasionally we find a little gem that’s a little different and definitely needs shouting about. In this case it comes from D33P and his remix of Hans Zimmer’s Interstella, and whoa what a mix it is too!

I’m not gonna say too much about this as I want to let the music do the talking, but if you’re a producer/musician/engineer, or you just appreciate good, well produced music in all formats, then you will absolutely love this. And the best thing about this is that D33P is giving it away ABSOLUTELY FREE!!! Just click on the Soundcloud link to download.

Once you have your copy, turn up your speakers, turn off the lights, whack it on and appreciate!

Barry Obzee & Lawrence Friend – Say Hey

Okay, so the perks of running a house music review website is that I get to showcase some of my own productions, and if you’re a keen follower of this website then you’ll know that a lot of the time I team up with my good friend Barry Obzee to produce our own spin on tech-house. This is a track we have recently released on Jango Music which we have been playing out for a while now, always had a good reaction!

A prize goes to the person who comments below with the correct name of the track where the main ‘Ooh Ooh’ sample is from (it’s replayed but sounds enough like the original to tell), hint: it’s an old skool garage track!.

Hope you enjoy, it’s out now. Thank you in advance for all support 🙂

Cor Caroli – All Night Long EP

Another release from the Arcko Digital label, and what an absolute whopper it is too! This is a massive two-track EP from Arcko regular ‘Cor Caroli’ hailing from sunny Espanol.

Track one is called ‘All Night Long’ and is a lovely disco infused tech-house banger. A definite feel good tune! Loads of filtering, drum fills, funky wah guitars, and a completely infectious rolling bassline. I think this one is going straight into my next set, I can’t wait to see a crowd reaction on this!

The second track on the EP is called ‘Whatsup’ and is a lot more underground. This features a huge bassy synth stab throughout with a deep bumpy bass pattern, all laid perfectly under some nice sketchy tech drums. Really loving the arrangement of this, everything seems to kick in and drop out perfectly.

So all in all, it’s a massive thumbs up from me. You’d be mental to pass up on this EP. It’s out now so why are you still reading this? Go get it….

Le Visiteur – Time To Jack

We were sent this little gem recently, something fresh from ‘Le Visiteur’ on Deep Motion. So if you are a fan of your old skool sounds then this is definitely for you. The producer makes great use of some big piano chords that filter nicely before a lovely sub-bass kicks in under them to fill the track out. The break-down is awesome, a nice punchy bass riff with some claps and a chopped vocal over the top.

A great, feel good house track and a sure hit on the dancefloors. Keep your eye on Public House UK in the future for more stuff from Le Visiteur. Grab your copy on Traxsource now…

Preview: Slideback & Philippe B – Do It

Forthcoming on the legendary Canadian label ‘Jungle Funk Recordings’ is this main room house banger by Slideback & Philippe B called ‘Do It’. This isn’t usually the sort’ve track I’d go for these days as I have gone down a slightly more tech and techno vibe with my own productions, but this one really stood out to me! Upon hearing the main old skool riff on this, it instantly put me back a few years and I imagined being back on the dancefloor in Pacha, London with my hands in the air, absolutely ‘aving it!

I quite literally love everything about this tune if I’m honest! it’s happy, upbeat and so well produced. I particularly like the vocal, I’m sure I’ve heard it in something else fairly recently too 😉

Not quite sure on the release date yet but I will keep you posted. Have a listen, if you love a bit of old skool and some uptempo mainroom house, then this is for you! Enjoy…

Duplo & Zumbador, East Pagan ft Cotry – Silence

This is a track that was sent to us recently from D2 Records. Quite a big release as there is an original and four remixes, and all have their own unique spin and style but incorporate an amazing, infectious female vocal! I mean seriously, this vocal is awesome!

The original mix has some deep blip sounds alongside nice pads and eerie bass stabs, all perfectly married together with some deep drum patterns. It has a very chilled yet old progressive vibe to it but sounds so good!

The first remix up is by Natema and is a very bassline driven deep house remix. I can instantly imagine this going off in a club! I love the breakdown, slow build and huge drop into the bass pattern, all before the drums come back in; WOW, what a remix!! The second remix is by Anton Ishutin, now this one is quite a laid back version with a stabby 80’s feel bass pattern, nice pads and great use of the vocal, goosebumps! The third remix is by Juloboy, he has taken the original bass riff and blips and toughened them up slightly. Keeping the nice airy pads along with the vocal, and some great use of the sidechain! Finally, the last remix is by Fabricio Pecanha. He has taken the track even deeper with a lovely deep and bumpy acid bass sound. I absolutely love the breakdown where it consists of just the bass, arpeggiated blips and a chopped vocal, all before a nice build into a simple drum pattern. Works so well!

If I was to pick a favourite I’d have to say it’s the Natema remix. Absolutely huge release for D2 Records and getting huge support already, I hope this blows up! Pick up your copy now…
