Rene Amesz – Clan Nancy

Here is Toolroom’s last release of 2015 from Rene Amesz. Rene has had an absolutely incredible year over the Summer, Like It Deep was rooted firmly at the number 1 spot on the tech house genre page for 27 days and spent over 4 Months in the overall top 100.

Big then followed and mirrored previous successes before underground giants Suara played host to Running Out Of Black, which once again was a huge success. Clan Nancy epitomises Renes sound and reflects where he stands musically.

Those unmistakable tough drums, low-slung bass line and seductive, chopped vocals, this is pure gold from Amesz and a perfect way for Toolroom to close the door on what has been an incredible 2015.

NY’s Finest – Do You Feel Me (Dosem, Bontan & Gerd Remixes)

New out on the mighty Toolroom Records is this series of remixes of NY’s Finest – Do You Feel Me. Collectively an amazing release for Toolroom, destined for the top of the house charts for sure!

Let kick things off with the Dosem remix, now this can simply be summed up in one word; Amazing! But I will say little more, this version marries together an old sounding house piano and vocal with brand new deep, bumpy basslines, builds and one hell of a drop. This one is staying in my set for a while! Up next is Bontan’s remix, this version is slightly deeper and more underground. The bassline is nice and punchy, and sits under some complex drums, blips & stabs, before an atmospheric breakdown, very nice! Last up is Gerd’s No-kick interpretation, which does exactly that; it features the nice classic piano riff and vocal, some amazing musical elements sat over a nice bass pattern and some real housey hats…. but no kick! Sounds surprisingly good, check it out…

Kevin Andrews & Jason Chance – Krin

Released as a part of Toolroom’s Miami 2014 collection, Jason Chance & Kevin Andrews (Hoxton Whores) bring you this main room tech house slammer. I gotta say, this style of house music is one of my favourites. I am a big fan of high end plucky synth rhythms and this track gives you that with a slight oriental feel to it too. Absolutely love the breakdown with some repetitive vocals which sound like tribal kids having a sing song!, then a nice snare build before a huge bouncy bassline drop complimented nicely with high end plucky stabs 🙂

Pete Griffiths ft Cevin Fisher – Chicago

Pete Griffiths has signed this stormer to Toolroom Records with remixes from Weiss, Vanilla Ace and Federico Scavo. The original is nice and punchy with a great vocal, really nice breakdown with a great build and drop. The Federico Scavo remix is slightly different to his usual style as he has made this version almost electro, great remix! Weiss has taken the track really deep with some sketchy drums and nice arpeggiated keys, something for the underground! Vanilla Ace’s remix is more of a mainstream ‘deep-house’ version with emphasized bass, a great build and drop. I’m not sure which is my favourite mix, possible the original version or the Vanilla Ace?! It’s a close call! Due out tomorrow (Weds 10th December) according to the Toolroom Soundcloud page.

Tocadisco ft Roland Clark – Phoenix

This is a LOT heavier than anything I’d usually post about but there is something I really like about it and I just can’t put my finger on it! It’s got that ‘bass in the place London’ and ‘Eat Sleep, Rave, Repeat’ kinda sound to it which usually I can’t stand. I like this though, see what you think! Released on Toolroom Records.

Weiss – Weiss City Vol 2 EP

This EP is released on the mighty Toolroom Records. The whole EP is amazing! First up is ‘If I Ever Dance’ and this one hooked me simply because of the vocal used, one word…. WOW! Second on the EP is ‘Devil In The Sky’, nice deep chords and yet another fantastic use of a vocal hook, love it! Last up is ‘Ghetto Boy’, slightly deeper than the other two and is so well produced, love the deep bass stabs, the sirens etc. Awesome EP!

Solution – Feels So Right (The Remixes)

I’ve been posting a lot of previews lately, but rest assured that as soon as they are released I will be updating the links so you can buy them. I am merely showcasing the tracks and linking my subscribers to the ‘listen now’ samples. This release is an absolute monster! Fresh from Toolroom Records, the original mix came out a while ago and now there are four juicy remixes to sink your teeth into. The ‘Friends Within’ remix was recently played by Annie Mac on Radio 1 a while back which went down really well, I’ve been waiting on the release of this for a while now and it’s all set to be released on Monday 25th November. Not long!

Toolroom’s write up on this is:
A timeless classic that has been sampled, referenced and aspired to since its inception, Toolroom Records now presents a fresh new remix package of Solution’s unforgettable ‘Feels So Right’ from some of today’s most exciting producers, Friend Within, Lars Vegas, Joe T. Vannelli and WhiteNoize.

One of New York’s finest and most prolific DJs, Victor Simonelli was one of the early pioneers of the unique NYC underground dance music movement that is now religiously followed by the clubbing faithful the world over. Having already been involved in many high profile projects, it was his release of ‘Feel So Right’, under the guise of Solution, that cemented Simonelli’s status among the house elite.

UK man of the moment, Friend Within, delivers a fresh, deep & rolling update of the original, already receiving strong support with its first airing from Annie Mac (BBC Radio 1) and Shadow Child (Rinse FM); a sure fire underground hit if ever there was one.
With a strong reputation for solid house grooves, Dutchman Lars Vegas digs out the old school synths to deliver an energetic and cleverly pitched take on ‘Feels So Right’; this mix is infectious and will be heavily playlisted across many genres of DJ.
Next up, renowned Italian producer and DJ, Joe T. Vannelli’s ‘Diva’ Remix takes no prisoners; it’s a heavy, techy, peak time onslaught taking the original to totally new and diverse territory.
Following a string of successful remixes and releases, America’s finest disco house duo WhiteNoize deliver an up to date take on ‘Feels So Right’. Keeping the soul and ethos of the original, their remix is a tribute to their style, keeping it accessible to all.

A stunning set of remixes to compliment a true house classic.
